A glass coating makes cleaning your windscreen and glass much easier. This will create a chemical bond with the glass to form an extremely durable water repelling shield.  Bird bombs and bug splatters are much quicker to remove. With better visibility in the rain, snow and fog there is also a great safety aspect. Ice will not cling so easily to the glass, thanks to it's hydrophobic barrier.
